why electric field is independent of the test charge?

The test charge is not a well defined charge. Its just for our convenience.
It is just a assumed charge for making the calculation of electric field easy.

vib8m: Because the test charge can be anything. We just need it for making the calculations look easier to us. Look into the formulas thoroughly for more info.
