why electric iron connecting cable magnetic field is quite weak

when electric current is passed though any wire,a magnetic field will be produced around it. an electric iron connecting cable does not attract near by iron objects when electric is switched on through it, the magnetic field produced around it will be very weak . hope it works for you!!!
