See chlorine has a bigger size and flourine has a small size

Flourine is small in size so the electrons are close to each other and then they repule each other

Electron affinity - to add an electron

If a electron will come to flourine dur to heavy -ve charge the electron will be repulted and in chlorine it is not it takes the electron

If it helps lemme know !!
