why electron move from zn to cu if E ext is less than1.1V and moves cu to zn if E is more than 1.1V​

If a voltage above 1.1v is given , what will happen, if the zinc ... if we apply the a voltage higher than 1.1v if the zinc ... Zn (s) + Cu2+ (aq) → Zn2+ (aq) + Cu (s).
