An electronic is negatively charged.Again the nucleus is positively charged due to the presence of protons. So the electrons attract the nucleus and vice versa.Since the magnitude of both charges are equal ,therefore both of them attract each other with equal magnitude. So none of them comes towards each other. But since the mass of the nucleus is much more higher than the electrons so a centripetal force acts on the electrons. So the electrons revolve around the nucleus
