Why electro negativity increase as we move from left to right ( across the period ) ?

Answer ------- Since the nuclear charge increase due to an increase in atomic number . So the electro negativity increases from left to right in a period !

Example --------- In the second period electro negativity increase from lithium to fluorine !!

The positively charged protons in the nucleus attract the negatively charged electrons. As the number of protons in the nucleus increases, the electronegativity or attraction will increase. Therefore electronegativity increases from left to right in a row in the periodic table.
