I think as there were some forces acting on it
Centrifugal and Centripetal force
Centripetal force- force of attraction of proton
But electron are in Circular motion according to Bohr's model of atom
though it is in circular motion so centrifugal force equalise/neutralise the centripetal force
and it revolves in circular path in spite of protons attraction
