Drawbacks of Rutherford model :-
It can't explain the stability of an atom. As per the model, the orbital revolution of electrons around the nucleus is not stable as the revolving electrons in orbits will undergo acceleration and emit energy.
But Bohr explained the stability of an atom.
Here is how he did it :-
He stated that atoms emit and absorb light of various wavelengths and it excites and deexcites the electrons and keeps it in the orbits rather than bumping into nucleus.
