why elements have same number of protons and neutrons and electrons

Elements have equal number of electrons and protons to maintain the electrical neutrality..........But they might have different number of neutrons there is not any specific relation in number of protons & electrons TO number of neutrons.............
As in case of He, there is 2 proton, 2 neutrons but
In case of Na, there is 11 protons, 12 neutrons...........
