why emasculation in bisexual flower is essentially done at the bud stage of the flower?

Emasculation is followed by bagging the flower and then the desired pollen grains are introduced on the stigma for hybridisation. It is done in the flower which is selected as the female parent because after emasculation only the female reproductive parts of the flower remain in it.
