Endocrine glands are those glands in our body that are responsible for releasing hormones without using ducts
- In our body, certain organs called glands which are further divided into endocrine and exocrine glands are responsible for producing hormones for the regulation of chemical signals.
- Endocrine glands are also known as ductless glands since they do not require to use of duct to release hormones.
- They release the hormones directly into the bloodstream. Some examples are the pituitary gland, pineal gland, etc.
Thus, endocrine glands are called ductless since they directly release hormones into the blood and two examples of the same are the pineal and pituitary glands.
