Answer:

ENDOCRINE GLANDS;

Endocrine glands are glands which produce hormones for the development of Humans.

GLANDS - LOCATION - HORMONES PRODUCED - FUNCTIONS

Pituitary gland - Brain - Growth Hormone, TSH - Helps in growth of one person, stimulates Thyroid to produce thyroxine.

Thyroid gland - Neck - Thyroxine - stimulates metabolism of our body.

Adrenal Gland - Near Kidneys - Adrenaline - Maintains salt balance, keeps us up during when we are in stress.

Pancreas - Near Liver - Insulin - Maintains sugar balance in body.

Testes - Male Genitals - Testosterone - Development of male in his adolescence period

Ovaries - Pelvic regions of Females - Progesterone and Estrogen - Development of female in adolescence period and maintains growth of uterus during pregnancy.

WHY E.GLANDS ARE CALLED DUCTLESS GLANDS?

A duct is a ‘tube’ or ‘canal’ through which liquids can flow in our body. So when you call endocrine glands as ‘ductless’, you mean that they don’t have any canals through which their secretions can pass through.

So where do their secretions go?

The secretions are directly mixed with the blood to reach their target organ.

(e.g) Thyroid gland is endocrine and secretes thyroxine into the blood.
