Enzymes are subjected to the action of those enzymes which are specifically meant for the breakdown of peptide bonds of proteins. (c) Amphoteric nature. Like other proteins, theenzymes behave as ampholytes in an electric field. The isoelectric point (pl) for various enzymes has also been determined.
