Evaporation is called surface phenomenon.We all know that.
But why it is called as surface phenomenon?
It is called as surface phenomenon because it happens on the surface of the water, the molecules at the surface absorbs the heat from surroundings and increase their kinetic energy and then evaporate.
Thus it is called as surface phenomenon.
