because my friend .
when evaporation takes place only the surface water is heated and not the entire bulk of the water. thus that is the reason why it heats at very low temperature also.
for example. when clothes are hung it evaporates at low temperature. ..

Heya user!!

Example of evaporation:-
Take a bicker and fill it with water. Then put it in the sunlight for a couple of hours. You will observe that the amount of water is reducing slowly. It is called evaporation.

But wait why slowly? Why the whole water inside it doesn't get evaporated at a time??That is why we call evaporation surface phenomenon.

When sunlight touches water surface, all the molecules gain energy and gets evaporated but nothing happens to the lower layer untill the above layer is not totally evaporated. And it happens layer by layer. Thus we call it surface phenomenon.

☺☺Have a good day☺☺
