SIMPLE HARMONIC MOTION IS A TYPE OF PERIODIC MOTION IN WHICH THE RESTORING FORCE ACTS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE DISPLACEMENT AND ACTS IN THE DIRECTION OPPOSITE TO THAT OF DISPLACEMENT.
