Mentality is basically way of thinking or reacting to anything.
Yes, it varies from person to person.
It depends upon there surroundings I.e. environment in which they live.
As every person has his own way to live and to fulfil his requirements so there reaction too varies.
For eg .rich people thinks that money is earned through thinking of profits while others think that money is earned with hardwork and time.. Though both of them are right but mentality differs .
So its the surroundings which affects our mentality and somehow our background too .

mentality is something which we adopt from the environment we have lived in.
let me tell you a story ...
there was boy who used to live in a village with his parents . his parents taught him to respect everyone either younger or older to him. he was an ideal kid , always topper in his school, first in all games , and he wanted to achieve everything . succes means hard work for him. time passed but the boy was same. he respected everyone , first in all co curriculars.
then his parents decided to send him to city for higher educations. he left home for further education. he met to some city boys, everything was different. royal cars,big houses and all brightness of that city.
after sometime he met with some boys of his college thiose boys used to drink, they belonged to royal families and were provided everything by their parents.
some days passed now the boy started thinking that how good life his friends live, they do not even study and still get everythng. he started arguing with his parents for money, disrespected everyone and even started drinking. now he was only willing to get money not by hardwork but only without any hardwork. he was changed and the reason was his mentality of the atmosphere he got .
some yeras back he was an ideal child now not even his parents were willing to talk to him
so now you know the value of mentality and what mentality is.
