Why everyone should learn one programming language at least?

Because if one don't get a job in a some fields can get the job in IT feilds

who says that everyone should learn one programming language at least I don't think it is compulsory because if you want to be an English literature and an English near it then I don't think you need to learn this programming language it is important for those working in IT industry and not for those who are poets and lawyers
