Evolution is not unidirectional.
A particular species can evolve into 2 or more than 2 species .
In case of bottle neck effect and fouders effect .
EXAMPLE :-
the Finches of Galapagos island evolved into seed eating , fruit eating , worm eating etcs . this shows that evolution is not unidirectional . it shows BRANCHING DESCENT.
