Why explosion occurs while reacting hydrogen and oxygen?
Answers
Hey mate
your answer is.....
When molecular hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) are combined and allowed to react together, energy is released and the molecules of hydrogen and oxygen can combine to form either water or hydrogen peroxide. These two processes are represented by the two chemical equations shown at right.
hope it helps you
In the case of hydrogen and oxygen, hydrogen is the fuel and oxygen is the oxidizer. Even after they are mixed, they still require a spark or other source heat to ignite the extremely rapid combustion that results in an explosion.
Hydrogen is a highly reactive fuel. Hydrogen molecules violently react with oxygen when the existing molecular bonds break and new bonds are formed between oxygen and hydrogen atoms. ... But hydrogen does not react with oxygen at room temperature, a source of energy is needed to ignite the mixture.
