why eyes are spherical?

 The human eye is an approximate sphere with a bump on the front - the cornea. This bump is the front focusing element and the resting site for contact lenses. If not for this, a contact lens would migrate all over the eye and never achieve stable vision.

HARSHITSRIVASTAVA: A camera captures consistent, fully detailed data right up to the edge of its sensor, and no data at all beyond it. Captured data is clipped by an ideally uniform sensor, augmented a bit by the lens, and is well-defined during design and manufacturing.
