Why f- ion is more reactive in dmso than in methanol?

DMSO is a polar aprotic solvent.. it doesn't solvate the anion. while methanol is a polar protic solvent...it solvates both the cation and anion...here methanol solvates Flouride ion...so its nucleophilicity decreases. so F- is more reactive in DMSO
