why fall in ionization energy occurs at Al and S in the same period ?

Answer:
ionisation enthalpy increases as we go along a period but it decreases as we go from Al to S
the reason behind this is that aluminium has high ionisation than sulphur because electronic configuration of aluminium is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3px1 ...so we can see that Al has only fully filled and 1 half filled orbital which is why it is very stable and has high value of IE.

Explanation:
The fall in ionization energy for Al and S is attributed to the ease with which orbital electrons are lost to attain stability. Ionization energy is the amount of energy it takes to remove an electron from an atom.
