Electronic configuration of elements
Mg = [ Ne ] 3s^2
Al = [ Ne ] 3s^2 3p^3
p = [ Ne ] 3s^2 3p^3
S = [ Ne ] 3s^2 3p^4
Now, E.C of mg and p are stable Diego which large amount of energy is required to remove an electron but for AI and S less amount of required as they have unstable E.C.....
Hope it helps u.....
