Why farmer prefer to grow beans an peas in nitrogen deficient soil

Farmers prefer to grow these because both beans and peas are leguminous plants that can absorb the atmospheric nitrogen . Their root contains rhizobium bacteria that will help in nitrogen fixation. This would help in enriching the soil with nitrogen and  increasing its fertility.
