Why farmers died due to demonetisation

All want positivity. Even if you talk about it with others they'll change topic & begin to tell its positive effects.
I wrote on twitter that I lost my brother during demonetization & one replied, “Why does everyone(seculars) had to die during demonetization period only?”
I was speechless on his reply. But later made him understand the situation (I guess). Modi government was clever in deviating people's attention from death to cashless or ‘less cash’. If we were standing in line like the soldiers on duty, then why were the dead not called as Martyrs like the soldiers,when they die.
People so badly wanted to get rid of ‘corruption’ that they lost all human sensitivities & adopted “herd mentality”.
The ‘bhakts’ or supporters as I say asked, “Then why did the people not protest?” The simple answer to this question is that people were busy securing their money & stood in line. If suppose I went to protest then what would I eat or how do I pay for small conveniences, like auto, with no cash in hand.
