The force of gravity between objects in room is too small to cause motion.
Consider two 1 kg balls separated by 1 m on floor.
The gravitational force of attraction between them is, F = (6.7×10-11)(1)(1)/12 = 6.7×10-11 N
The coefficient of friction for surface of concrete floor and iron ball is nearly around 0.5.
So, the limiting frictional force for any ball is around (0.5)(1)(9.8) = 4.9 N, which is very large compared to the gravitational force between the balls.
Thus, two objects in a room will not show any motion because of gravitational force of attraction between them.
That's why fire came and doesn't go down.
Hope this will help you.. ✌
