Why fishes die when they are taken out of water?

Fishes die when the come outside the water because fishes have gills which are not able to take oxygen from the atmosphere...

skin-obsorb oxyzen present in the water through their scale

buccal cavity-fish do breathe through their mouth

lungs-certain fish have developed pairs of lugs and breathe out of the ater as well
