Why food can not go in wind pipe and air can’t go to food pipe???

Several parts in the body are made for several reasons....... Likewise food pipe or oesophagus is made for the passage of food and wind pipe for passage of wind.Food pipe is connected to the stomach but wind pipe to the lungs.....moreover epiglottis is a gland at the junction of food pipe and wind pipe which stops the wrong thing to go in the wrong place . It is the reason why you cannot breathe and shallow the saliva at the same time.....
