why food cans are coated with tin metal and not zinc metal?

Zinc is more reactive then tin. Which may react with food items and make it unfit for health.

✴Zinc are more reactive than the tin and
tin react very slow with acids .

✴That means if food having acid nature are kept than the tin doesn't react with it.

But ,

▫ Zinc being more reactive in nature can react with acid causing toxic material to be formed.

So, food cans are made up of tin metal.
