because the amount of salt need to maintain by our body . increase in the amount of salt make our blood more liquidity . which can cause several diseases. also increase in the amount of salt increase the amount of sodium in our body. therefore we must take sufficient or limited amount of salt in our daily diet. thus food must have limited amount of salt.

Salt is actually NaCl(sodium chloride).The actual reason is that our body needs a sufficient amount of sodium which is present in salt.
Also chlorine helps in maintaining the HCl level in our stomach.
