food security is ensured as ....
1) to provide food to all at price which they can afford (affordability)
2)people must have enough money to buy the foods ( accessibility)
3) food must be in reach of everyone ( availability)..

India has become self sufficient in foodgrains during the last 30 years because a variety of crops grown all over the country. The availability of foodgrains at the country level is increased. It was done with a carefully designed food security system of the government.

The system consists of two components :

• Buffer Stock

• Public Distribution System.
