Why forest are called the biodiversity hotspot

forests are known as biodiversity hotspots because they contain different species of plants,animals and other microorganisms.hence,as they serve a shelter for these organisms it  ecosystem , maintains and give a life to it ,it is known as biodiversity hotspots

Plants produce carbohydrate or sugars in their leaves by photosynthesis. but non - photosynthesis parts of the plant also require carbohydrates and other organic and non - organic material.

Biodiversity hot spot means which contains large varieties of plants and animals . Forests contain large varieties of plants ,animals.
For this reason Forests were called as bio diversity hotspots.
