Hey mate...
I simple words we can say that if we look into the food chain then we will notice that there are more animals who feed on frogs rather than grasshoppers :D

Actually it's a rule of nature. The higher u go in a food chain the number of species decreases. Frog is in higher position than grasshopper in food chain. The frogs are the predators to the grasshoppers. To maintain a perfect balance, the number of predators must be lesser than the prey otherwise if predators are more than the prey the prey species will be extinct and then following that the predator species will also eventually be extinct due to lack of food.
