why fration dosent roll a ball backward if no force is pushing or pulling it

If a ball is kept on floor and no external force is acting on it then it will niether roll back or forward because it is in equilibrium condition . i.e all forces are balanced and net force is 0 ,, so ball will be stationary .

because friction is a resistive force not an directly acting force it does not create a force by itself until and unless any body is moved.
