French revolution took place because of the hatred peasants and farmers had for their king Louis and Queen Marie Antoinette. They wanted machines for their productions instead of farmers. This could make many farmers unemployed. In one of the incidents, when a farmer said to the queen that they wont be able to have bread because of their poverty, the queen said, "Then in that case you must have cake". This angered them more and they hanged their king and queen setting down the monarchical government.
