why frogs don't have teeth?

All prey gets swallowed whole, because frogs can't chew. If they have teeth at all, they are usually only on the upper jaw, used for holding onto prey and not for biting or chewing. ... Meanwhile, not all frogs have tongues. Tongueless frogs use their fingers to catch prey and stuff it into their mouths.

They have a ridge of very small coneteeth around the upper edge of the jaw. These are called Maxillary Teeth.Frogs often also have what are called Vomerine Teeth on the roof of their mouth. They don't have anything that could be called teeth on their lower jaw, so they usually swallow their food whole.
