Rivers that flow throughout the year without drying up or without receiving rainfall are called perennial rivers.

Ganga doesn't dry up and doesn't receive rain.So it is perennial.

The snow present in the Gangotri Glacier melts slowly and helps Ganga to flow throughout the year.
