why glaciers are not found in our surroundings?

because glaciers are found only in the cold regions like north pole and south pole. Our region is located in tropical and temperate zones. It is too hot for the glaciers to be found in our surroundings. even if there was a glaciers it would melt quickly.

  • Slow moving of mass of ice is called glacier.

  • In very cold region like the Himalayas or the Alps it snows heavily they get snowfall instead of rainfall.

  • This snow accumulates and harden into ice.

  • That's is why we don't find glacier in our surroundings.
