Why Globe is called as model of the Earth?

Because it shows the longitude and lattitude extent of the earth. They also tells about the different countries etc. but are not exactly the map.

Earth is round more like a spherical ball and slightly tilted towards one side. Atlas is not considered as the true model of earth as it only depicts the map in a flat surface drawing.
But, globe represents the three dimensional structure of Earth and shows everything in detail, like the axis, roughness and the interpretation becomes more easy.
Therefore due to the roundness and other features of globe, it is considered as true model of Earth.
