Sometimes they are also used by travelers who are setting on for a long journey ahead of them.

*It helps to identify the places on the earth surface ,
*without globe we will not able to know exact shape of the earth
*with the help of map we came to know deeply about a particular country , state etc
*it also help in our studies for example : in history we come to know where the war has been occurred , which part of country was come under distruction by the world war , in geography : we come to know about wildlife sanctuary, forest, crops , soils etc.
