Why glucose cannot glucose act as inducer for lac operon?

Lactose act as a inducerbecause it inactivate the LacI repressor by binding with it. Lactose structure is such that it can bind with the LacI repressor whereas galactose andglucose structures are not efficient for binding with the repressor, that is why they cannot act as ainducer of Lac operon.
