Gold silver and platinum are used to make ornaments as they are least reactive they do not react easily with metals or non metals
metals and are shiny in nature too that's why we used them in making ornaments

A] Platinum, gold and silver are the least reactive metals and hence they don't react with metals or non-metals present in their surroundings
B] Sodium, potassium and lithium are the most reactive metals. They react with oxygen, water and carbon dioxide at room temperature. Hence they are stored under oil to prevent their reaction with oxygen, water and carbondioxie.
C] Aluminium is a highly reactive metal though it is used to make utensils because it undergoes an oxidation reaction forming a thin layer of aluminium oxide which act as a barrier to oxygen and water preventing the further oxidation and resistant to further corrosion. This resistance can be improved bymaking the oxide layer thicker for e.g. anodizing. And again aluminium is a good conductor of heat.
