This is because it packages material synthesised in the ER and dispatches it to intracellular (plasma membrane and lysosomes) and extracellular (cell surface) targets.golgi bodies helps to transport proteins from inside to outside the cell, and from one place to another place of the cell. Since it is used transport the proteins from inside to outside of the cell , it is called secretary organelle
