Amrita devi bishnoi national award for wildlife conservation has been instituted by government of India because in 1731,women named Amrita Devi sacrificed her life for the protection of khejri trees along with her 363 members of khejrali village near Jodhpur ,Rajasthan.In her memory government of India announced this price to the persons who tried to save wildlife or plants and trees.
