Why gram negative bacteria take up safranin while differential?

In the case of gram negative bacteria ,the cell wall takes up CV-iodine complex due to thin peptidoglycon n thick lipid contents outside. when they are exposed to alchohol it dissolves all the lipids and leaches out the CV-I complexout.when counter stained with safranin,they stain red
