why graphite is slippery in nature?

because the graphite is made up of various layers of carbon atoms which was held by weak van der waal forces and due to this the layers of the graphite slip over one another and make graphite slippery

graphite contain layers of carbon atoms. which slips down because there are very weak forces acting between them ,making graphite slippery.
