Why growth and reproduction are mutually inclusive events in unicellular organisms but mutually exclusive events in higher multicellular organisms (like higher plants and animals)?PLEASE SEND A DETAILED ANSWER

the twin characters of growth are 1)increase in cell size and 2) increase in number of cells.
in unicellular organisms the cell reproduces by binary fission which is nothing but cell division thus we say that in such organisms growth and reproduction are mutually inclusive i.e they occur simultaneously

however in multicellular organisms like humans reproductin does not occur by cell division it occurs by zygote formation yhus in such organisms these two events are mutually exculsive i.e not related to each other
