why h2O is compound but not air it is also a mixture of oxugen and nitrogen fast answer. no spamming only who have knowledge can answer

H2O is a compound because it consists of two particular elements only in case of distilled water .
But in case of air it is a mixture of various gases not only oxygen and nitrogen but also carbon dioxide , water vapour and inert gases. So it is a heterogeneous miture .
