Why H3PO2 is monoprotic acid ?

Actually,the protocity depends on no.of protons i.e H+ ion liberated by the molecules,and since the hydrogen atom attached to the P-atom is not acidic in aqueous medium so the aqcidity depends on only those H-atoms which are attached by O-H bonds to the hypophosphorous acid.Now as the structure of the acid explains that there is only one P-OH bond in the compound so it can liberate only one proton & so it is monoprotic acid.
